In reply to your favour No. 383 of yesterday's date, inquiring the value placed on the 3.39 square feet of ground in question,
I have the honour to state that, as the ground lies at present idle and useless, I cannot state the value except by its loss to Mr Stephens, as follows:
The loss to Mr Stephens on the building portion of his contract to build upon the ground in question, which contract was entered into before the Lawsuit commenced, amounts alone to $44,320 and there losses in respect of the same contract
